Interim head coach of Asante Kotoko Prince Owusu has admitted that, the club’s title ambitions have faded.
The record holders suffered a 4-0 defeat against Medeama at the Tarkwa TnA Park in week 29 on Sunday, a result that left the fans livid.
The loss meant Kotoko recorded back-to-back defeats after succumbing 2-1 against Samartex last weekend at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Owusu first reacted to the heavy loss against Medeama.
“It’s a team that we lost the game over the weekend and we were trying to put these together.
“The guys started playing very well and there was a fouls here and the referee did not take the foul and that is a worry and definitely whoever you are you are going to go down,” Prince Owusu said.
On the club’s title ambitions, the former Al Khartoum assistant coach admitted that, the dream has faded.

“It didn’t work the way we wanted it, we tried to hold the midfielders so that they could not give those long passes.
“[Our] title dream is gone, it’s gone I can say that.”
Kotoko dropped into 6th spot on the Ghana Premier League table with 43 points, ten points below leaders Medeama from 29 games.
With five matches to conclude the season, Kotoko will have a walkover in their 30 match against Hohoe United who withdrew from the league.
