The eighth and penultimate round of Group B in the Libyan Premier League delivered a day full of action and decisive moments, with all matches played simultaneously by decision of the competition committee to ensure fairness amid the fierce battles at both ends of the table.

The headline clash at Tripoli International Stadium saw Al-Ittihad held to a 1-1 draw by Al-Ittihad Misrata. Aziz ki gave Al-Ittihad an early lead in the 11th minute, but substitute Mohamed Jamal equalized late in the 83rd minute from a set piece. The result saw Al-Ittihad maintain top spot with 39 points, while Al-Ittihad Misrata reached 24 points, officially securing qualification to the championship round, aided by Al-Majd’s defeat.

At Zawiya Stadium, Al Olympi secured a 1-0 win over Ittihad Gharyan, asserting control from the outset. The only goal came in the first half through Hamdi Al-Tunji, who converted a penalty. Despite efforts from Ittihad Gharyan in the second half, they lost and kept stuck on 10 points, while Olympi climbed to 31.

Meanwhile, one of the most thrilling encounters unfolded at Al-Nahr Stadium, where Shabab Al-Ghar and Al-Tersana played out a dramatic 3-3 draw. Shabab Al-Ghar led 2-1 at halftime thanks to Eid Moghadam and Yassin Belish, while Youssef Faiq scored for Al-Tersana. The second half saw a back-and-forth spectacle, with Anis Khader equalizing before Mahmoud Al-Ajili restored Shabab’s lead. However, Yassin Mohamed struck late in the 82nd minute to rescue a point for Al-Tersana. Despite the fightback, the result confirmed Al-Tersana’s relegation to the second division, as they moved to 16 points, just behind Shabab Al-Ghar on 17.

At Misrata Stadium, Al-Shomoua boosted their hopes with a solid 2-0 win over Al-Majd. Haitham Dhana opened the scoring with a header in the first half, before Ahmed Khazam added a second in the 56th minute.
