Nigeria striker Gift Orban was involved in a heated altercation with a fan following Hellas Verona’s 1-0 loss to AC Milan.
The Super Eagle, visibly frustrated, declined photo requests while leaving in his car. Tensions escalated when a supporter struck his vehicle, prompting Orban to step out and confront him.

The situation quickly turned physical before others stepped in to restore calm. Emotions run high after defeats, but incidents like this highlight the need for respect on both sides.
A statement from Verona confirmed the incident and further detailed investigation. The statement said: “Hellas Verona FC, with reference to the incidents that took place after the Hellas Verona v Milan match in the parking area adjacent to the Bentegodi Stadium, involving player Gift Orban and a group of supporters, firmly dissociates itself from and condemns any form of violent conduct.
“The club will continue to gather and assess relevant information.”
Orban joined Verona last summer on loan from German side Hoffenheim, with the Italian side possessing the option to make the deal permanent.
Orban is Verona’s leading scorer in Serie A action this term having netted seven times in 23 games.
The Nigerian’s seven goals is his most in a single league campaign since he slammed home an impressive 15 goals in 16 games for Gent in the 2022-23 Belgian Pro League campaign.
Verona will look to pick up just their fourth win of the Serie A season when they host 18th-placed Lecce on April 25.
