Ghana: FIFA slaps Eleven Wonders with transfer ban

The world football governing body FIFA has slapped Ghana Premier League club, Eleven Wonders FC with seeding transfer ban.

The struggling top tier side have been banned from exercising both domestic and international transfers.

FIFA’s decision came following the club’s failure to comply with the Decisions of the Players’ Status Committee and an Enforcement Decision from the Disciplinary Committee.

Eleven Wonders are bottom of the league table

Eleven Wonders who are bottom of the Ghana Premier League, failed to obey the deadline granted them to pay Moses Afriyie.

The Ghana Football Association’s website announced: “Moses Afriyie informed the Ghana Football Association that since the Ruling was communicated to the parties, Techiman Eleven Wonders FC has neglected and refused to fully pay the said amount though the deadline had elapsed.

“The Disciplinary Committee’s Secretary drew Techiman Eleven Wonders FC’s attention to Article 15(1) of the GFA Disciplinary Code concerning this matter of enforcement of the decisions of the Player Status Committee.

“The club was fined and given further extension to pay Moses Afriyie failing which a transfer ban shall be imposed on the club.

“Having failed to obey the Decisions, the club is banned in accordance with Article 15(2) of the GFA Disciplinary Code, until the full payments are settled.

Eleven Wonders have struggled to chalk the victories this season, managing to claw a paltry 10 points from 28 matches.

They sit bottom of the standings, 25 points below safety as the league draws to a close in the next five games.
