Moroccan winger Bilal El Khannouss delivered a standout impact off the bench, providing a crucial assist as Stuttgart secured a dramatic 2-1 victory over Freiburg in the semi-final of the DFB Pokal (German Cup).
El Khannouss entered the match in the 63rd minute with his side trailing 1-0, and quickly made his presence felt. In the 70th minute, he produced a brilliant run from midfield before delivering a pass to his teammate Deniz Undav, who finished clinically to bring Stuttgart level.
The match remained tied through the end of regular time, forcing extra time.
In the 119th minute, Stuttgart completed the comeback in dramatic fashion, as Thiago Tomás scored the winning goal to send his team into the final.
With this victory, Stuttgart advance to the DFB Pokal (German Cup) final, where they will face Bayern Munich, who defeated Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 in the other semi-final.
