Senegal defender Abdoulaye Seck is set to part ways with Israeli club, Maccabi Haifa.
According to Israeli press reports, a separation has been agreed upon by both parties once this season comes to an end.
Seck, whose contract is set to expire, is expected to take advantage of the upcoming summer transfer window to find a new club.
He is one of the veterans of the Maccabi Haifa squad and one of the last remaining players from the 2022-2023 Israeli league title-winning team.
He will most likely be one of the first to leave next summer according to the highly reputable Israeli sports media outlet ONE.
With his contract expiring next June, the 33-year-old had been in negotiations for several months to extend his stay however his salary demands and recent off-field issues reportedly complicated negotiations with the club’s management.
He has almost never disappointed since his arrival four years ago from Antwerp and has made 142 appearances scoring 14 goals with 5 assists.
The former Casa Sports and Diambars player, played three matches, scoring one goal as the Teranga Lions romped to the finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations against a hosts Morocco.
The 21 time capped Senegal star has played 20 games, scoring two goals and one assist in this season’s Ligat ha’Al.
