Salah best player that has played for Liverpool – Ngumoha

Liverpool winger Rio Ngumoha has praised Egypt forward Mohamed Salah as one of the best players to have played for the Premier League club.

Salah has already indicated his desire to leave Liverpool at the end of the season. He recently suffered an injury and could miss the farewell when Liverpool plays their final home game of the season.

The forward sustained a minor muscle injury during the win over Crystal Palace at Anfield last weekend and had to be substituted in the second half.

“For me, in the generation that I have seen, he’s the best player that has played for Liverpool,” said the 17-year-old, among many of the farewell messages recorded by Sky Sports.

“Just training with him and learning those little things like movement and the type of finishing he does, he has had such a big impact on me and the team because he has won everything.”

On how he has benefitted from Salah at Liverpool, he said: “One time after training, he told me that the top players, along with your ability, they also get goals and assists, and obviously, he has broken many records.

“Him saying that to me, that he knows I’m a good player, but to get the next level, add those goals and assists.”

Last season, Salah managed 47 goal involvements in the Premier League, the most ever recorded in a 38-game season.

He has scored 257 goals – the third-most in club history – alongside 119 assists, lifting two Premier League titles and the European Cup among nine trophies.

So far this season, he has scored 12 goals and registered nine assists in 39 games across all competitions.
