Linafoot Playoffs: AS Vita Club and CS Don Bosco continue to rise up the table

AS Vita Club secured a second consecutive victory while CS Don Bosco also moved into a strong position on the table as the Linafoot playoffs continued with the beginning of the fourth round of matches on Tuesday.

In the later match on Tuesday, VClub earned another hard fought 1-0 victory over AS Simba to complete back-to-back victories after dropping their opening two matches. Mpiana Mozizi once again scored the match winning goal in the final minutes.

After playing the role of hero four days earlier in a narrow victory over FC Saint-Éloi Lupopo, in-form goalkeeper Abraham Mognita produced another clean sheet for Les Dauphins Noirs, who are now in fourth place following the result.

VClub trail new leaders CS Don Bosco by only one point after the Lubumbashi club edged Celeste FC 1-0 in Tuesday’s earlier fixture. The winners fell to defeat in their opening fixture against AS Maniema Union but have since gone undefeated in three matches, including two victories.

Action will resume on Wednesday when defending league champions Les Aigles du Congo face Maniema Union at the Stade Tata Raphaël in Kinshasa.
