Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen has received praise from his Galatasaray teammate Mario Lemina, who has strongly labelled him the best striker in the world.
Speaking to Forza Cimbom, the Gabonese midfielder was categorical that the Super Eagle has an incredible work rate that most strikers don’t have in the top leagues.
Mario Lemina: “Osimhen ile birbirimizi seviyoruz. Her zaman kazanmak istiyoruz. Biri bağırdığında bu takım için pozitif bir şeydir. Buna bayılıyorum.” (@Onahkosi) pic.twitter.com/tCxaU4Pi7Q

Despite playing alongside strikers such as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Gonzalo Higuaín, Lemina insisted he has never seen a complete striker such as Osimhen.
“Victor Osimhen is the world’s best striker,” said Lemina. “He is the most complete striker I’ve seen in my life. I think he’s the best I’ve seen in my life. He’s a special one.
“We love each other with Osimhen. We always want to win. When someone shouts, it’s a positive thing for the team. I love that. Osimhen is a warrior. His best quality is his competitiveness. He always wants to win.”

Osimhen dominated the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons at Galatasaray, cementing his status as a fan favorite and a premier striker by leading the club to back-to-back Turkish Süper Lig titles and a domestic double.
Across his time in Istanbul, he shattered records, including becoming the top scorer for a foreign player in a single Turkish season, scoring a stunning 37 goals and 8 assists in 41 games in the 2024-25 campaign, and continuing his prolific form into the 2025-26 season.
His total impact at Galatasaray includes 37 goals in 41 matches during his main loan season, with additional strong performances leading into the end of the 2026 season.
