Sevilla staged a remarkable recovery after trailing by two goals inside the opening twenty minutes to secure a crucial away victory, further boosting their survival hopes in the Spanish top-flight.
The hosts, Villarreal, made a flying start, with Gerard Moreno opening the scoring before Georges Mikautadze doubled the advantage to put the home side firmly in control. However, Sevilla responded strongly before halftime; Oso reduced the deficit before Kike Salas restored parity, ensuring both sides headed into the break level at 2-2.
