Scottland FC coach Norman Mapeza has once again voiced out his concerns with his Zimbabwe domestic league champions’ profligacy in front of goal.
The former Warriors handler lamented the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) defending champions’ bad tendency to self-sabotage games they are supposed to wrap up with ease.
The ex-Chippa United said this after watching Scottland FC create scoring opportunities for fun yet labour to place the ball at the back of the net in a narrow 2-1 victory over strugglers AGAMA FC on Wednesday, 13 May 2026.
“It was a good game of football,” Mapeza told his team’s media. “In the first half, we were in control of everything. Then in the second half, I spoke to the boys that: ‘we have been conceding in the first 10 minutes of the second half. Look, we need to be disciplined. Let us communicate.”

The three-time league winner with FC Platinum said it was frustrating that his half-time pep-talk failed to produce the desired result as they conceded in the usual manner.
“Again, we ended up conceding in the first 10 minutes, then it put us under unnecessary pressure. After that, we had good opportunities, one versus one and if we could have buried those chances, we could not have finished the game under pressure. Let us be clinical and finish off those chances,” the 54-year-old added.
In other matches staged on Wednesday, Premier League great Benjani Mwaruwari won his third game in charge of Highlanders FC as they beat in-form hosts HardRock FC 1-0.
Bosso occupies 10th place in the Castle Lager PSL standings, seven points behind leaders CAPS United FC, all thanks to substitute Reason Sibanda’s 70th-minute stunning acrobatic strike, 41 minutes after replacing injured Shelton Moyo.
