Danny Namaso: Cameroon winger attracts massive European interest

Cameroon winger Danny Namaso has appeared on the radar of several European club following his eye catching performance with AJ Auxerre.

The 25-year-old, who is on loan at the French Ligue 1 side from FC Porto, will leave Les Ajaïstes at the end of the season to make his return to Portugal.

The former England youth international posted some great numbers this Ligue 1 campaign, making 29 appearances with three goals and three assists.

His performance has given FC Porto much confidence as the Portuguese club is considering making him a key member of their squad next season.

However several clubs are already closely following his progress with Ligue 1 outfits Lille OSC, AS Monaco and English top tier side Fulham F.C. eying a deal for the Cameroonian.

Serie A sides Como 1907, Atalanta BC, S.S. Lazio, and Spanish La Liga club Real Betis are also following closely the performance of Namaso.

Born in England to an English father and Cameroonian mother, Namaso has twelve appearances for Cameroon but is yet to score for the five time African champions.

The former Reading FC forward was involved in five matches as the Indomitable Lions exited the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after losing 2-0 against hosts Morocco.
