In a game that was delayed by heavy rains, the Mauve and Yellow hammered Heart of Lions at the Tarkwa TnA Park to clinch the trophy with a game to end the season.
The two-time Ghana FA Cup winners were crowned winners after defending champions while closest challengers Gold Stars suffered a 1-3 defeat to Dreams on Sunday.
Kelvin Obeng gave Medeama the lead in the 18th minute before adding his second later in the first half to put the hosts firmly in control. Derrick Fordjour scored a brace in the second half, with Prince Owusu adding the fifth late in the game to complete the victory.
Heart of Lions clawed two goals back but that did too little to save the situation for the Kpando based club.

e table with 62 points, six points above Bibiani GoldStars from 33 games. Medeama, who last won the Ghana Premier League title in 2023, will represent Ghana in next season’s CAF Champions League.
One of the surprises of the Week 33 fixtures is Bechem United 3-1 pummeling of Asante Kotoko at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on Sunday. Kotoko’s defeat pushes them farther from a possible top four finish, leaving them set to complete a season without silverware after their FA Cup exit.
Kotoko’s rivals Hearts of Oak slumped to a 1-0 loss at Samartex, however the Phobians remain in third on the log with 51 points from 33 matches.
The relegation battle goes down to the wire with All Blacks, Nations FC, Young Apostles, Heart of Lions and Vision FC set to slug it out in the last fixture of the season next weekend.
One of the five clubs will join already relegated Eleven Wonder and Hohoe United who withdrew from the top tier mid-way through the season.
