The left-back established himself as one of the best defenders in the NPFL during his time with Enyimba. Obot joined up with the nine-time NPFL champions from Nigeria National League (NNL) club Dakkada FC in 2020.
He holds the record for most free-kick goals by a defender in the NPFL over the past three seasons. Obot won the NPFL title with the Peoples’ Elephant following the 2022-2023 season.
The player has reportedly attracted the interest of Rivers United, who are managed by former Enyimba head coach Finidi George.
