Malawi women’s national football team attacker, Vanesa Chikupila, scored a hat-trick for her club in the Kazakhstan Women’s Super League on Monday, June 9.
The forward’s treble helped BIIK Kazygurt to cruise to a 12-0 demolition of Zhetysu Taldykorgan.
The Malawian’s teammates were also on the scoresheet to complete the comprehensive win. Gabelia led the charge with five goals, while Maria Serrant, Alina Lozukova, Fatima Satygalieva, and Jasmine each added one.
The Scorchers striker signed a three-year contract with Biik Kazygurt last December alongside Bernadette Mkandawire. Chikupila was previously on loan at Green Buffaloes of Zambia from Nyasa Big Bullets in Malawi.
With their fifth consecutive win, BIIK Kazygurt remained top of the 14-team Women’s Super League, level on 22 points with FK Aktobe after eight games. Zhetysu Taldykorgan lie third from the bottom with six points.
