Head coach of Asante Kotoko, Abdul Karim Zito is banking his hopes on the MTN FA Cup after missing out on the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title.

The Porcupine Warriors finished the season in the fourth place, tied on 58 points with rivals Hearts of Oak. Their final fixture of the season ended in a 3-1 loss to Vision FC at the Nii Adjei Okraku II Complex June, 1.

The record Ghana Premier League holders will now turn their attention to the FA Cup final against Division One club Golden Kicks on June 15 at Legon Stadium, a match head coach Karim Zito is determined to win.

“The fans should not lose hope, we still have one at hand and that one is more important than winning against Vision FC because winning this game will help us win the league.

“But the one coming next week [is important], so they should come, they should not lose hope.

“They should come; we will both combine for the ultimate.”

Karim Zito replaced Prosper Narteh Ogum as the club’s Technical Director and will look forward to clinching their ninth FA Cup trophy.
