Napoli will be invincible if they convince Osimhen to stay – Giordano

Former Napoli striker Bruno Giordano has called on the club’s top hierarchy to do everything possible and keep Nigeria international Victor Osimhen in their squad for the new season.

The Super Eagles forward spent last season on loan at Galatasaray from the Serie A giants and he went ahead to help the side win the Turkish Super Lig and the Turkish Cup.

With several top European clubs already baying for the services of Osimhen, Giordano believes Napoli should not let the striker go.

“They would be even stronger, almost invincible. It would be a great coup for Napoli. Because with the tough defence we saw last year and a stellar attack nothing would become impossible,” told Il Mattino as quoted by Complete Sports.

“For Napoli it would mean sending a very strong message to the world. If you also add Osimhen to this team, it becomes unbeatable in Italy and would also be scary in Europe.”

Last season for Galatasaray, Osimhen scored 37 goals and bagged eight assists in 41 games across all competitions.
