Nottingham Forest extends Ola Aina contract

Super Eagles defender Ola Aina has officially extended his contract with English Premier League side, Nottingham Forest.

The full-back penned down a new three-year contract and will now remain at the Forest Ground until 2028. Speaking after putting pen to paper, Aina expressed joy and readiness to continue playing with passion for the club.

“I’m over the moon, I can’t wait to continue this journey with the Club. It’s always felt like a home ever since I joined and I’m happy to be here. Now my focus is on preparing for the new season well and getting back to hard work.”

Also reacting to the Nigeria’s contract extension was club owner, Evangelos Marinakis, who praised the 28 year old for his work ethics.

“Ola has skill, determination and character in abundance. He epitomises the culture and hard work we expect from everyone associated with Forest. He has had a big influence since his arrival here and we look forward to continuing that journey together to help us achieve incredible things.”

Talks over a new contract started between Aina’s representatives and Forest last year.

Earlier they were fears among the Tricky Trees fans that the defender could leave the club this summer due to interest from other English clubs, and clubs from abroad.

Aina registered two goals and one assist in 35 league outings for the club. He arrived at Forest on a free transfer in 2023 after leaving Serie A club Torino.
