WAFU ZONE B Boys Cup: Ghana winger Foster Apetorgbor ready for Benin

Ghana U-20 winger Forster Apetorgbor has expressed readiness as they prepare to face Benin in the second Group A fixture of the 2025 WAFU Zone B U20 Boys Championship on Wednesday

The Black Satellites were held to a 1-1 draw in the opener against Nigeria and a defeat against Benin will kick them out of the competition.

Apetorgbor, who was on the roster of the now defunct Ghana Premier League side Nsoatreman FC, spoke ahead at a pre-match press conference ahead of the game.

“We were hoping to win the first game [against Nigeria] but we didn’t win the first game, we drew against Nigeria,” Foster Apetorgbor said in a pre-match press conference.

“We’ve worked hard in training, and the team spirit is high. We know what’s at stake and we are not going to let this opportunity slip. We are hoping and we are going all out to win against Benin and we are also ready.

“We are going all out to get the maximum three points. We are just going all out and that is the mentality.”

Ghana faces a wounded Benin side which lost by a heavy 4-1 score against Nigeria.
