Zamalek renew Abdallah El Said’s contract for two more seasons

Zamalek SC have officially announced the contract renewal of veteran midfielder Abdallah El Said, who has signed a two-year extension starting from the upcoming 2025-26 season. The agreement was finalized during a meeting with the club’s sporting director, John Edward.

El Said, 40, is considered one of the legends of Egyptian football, boasting a storied career across domestic and international clubs. Throughout his journey, he has represented major sides such as Al Ahly, Pyramids FC, Ismaily, Al-Ahli Saudi, and KuPS in Finland, before joining Zamalek.

With a remarkable trophy cabinet, El-Said has won a total of 14 titles, including:
4 Egyptian Premier League titles with Al Ahly

2 Egypt Cup titles (1 with Al Ahly, 1 with Zamalek)

2 Egyptian Super Cups with Al Ahly

2 CAF Champions League titles with Al Ahly

3 CAF Super Cups (2 with Al Ahly, 1 with Zamalek)

1 CAF Confederation Cup with Al Ahly

Egyptian Premier League top scorer in the 2019–2020 season

On the international stage, El-Said has earned 55 caps for the Egyptian national team, scoring six goals. He featured in all three group matches for Egypt at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

The renewal of El-Said’s contract comes after Zamalek has already secured the signings of:

Goalkeeper Mahdi Soliman (free transfer from Al Ittihad Alexandria)

Angolan striker Chico Banza (four-year deal from Estrela da Amadora, Portugal)

Forward Amr Nasser (five-year deal from Pharco FC)
