Nigeria Falconets forward Flourish Sabastine completes move to Fenerbahce

Nigerian Falconets forward Flourish Sabastine has officially joined Fenerbahce after completing a switch from their fierce Istanbul rivals Galatasaray.

The transfer, confirmed by Fenerbahce, marks a new chapter for the 20-year-old striker who spent just one season with the Yellow and Reds. The details of her contract were not revealed by the club.

The Nigerian joined Galatasaray on a free transfer last summer, this followed her departure from French club Stade de Reims, where she had initially signed a two-year deal in 2023. Her stint at Galatasaray, though brief, was impactful enough to attract the attention of their formidable rivals.

Sebastian was an integral part of the Falconets squad that participated in the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia. Her performances on the international stage further highlighted her potential, as she managed to find the back of the net once for Nigeria during the competition, notably scoring the late winner against Korea Republic in the opening group stage match.
