The move marks a very important chapter of Asare’s career after his contract with Ghana giants Asante Kotoko expired last season. The 26-year-old is expected to bring his Ghana Premier League experience to the Durban City FC squad as they prepare for the upcoming season.

Asare’s arrival adds competition and depth to Durban City’s goalkeeping department, and fans will be eager to see him in action as the new season draws near.
He will be hoping to get the opportunity to command a regular shirt after rising through Ghana’s National Team ranks, featuring for the Black Starlets (U17), Black Satellites (U20), and Black Galaxies in the last few years.
Asare was handed his maiden Ghana Black Stars call-up for the March 2024 international friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda.
