Sierra Leone midfielder, Samuel Kwaku Bekoe has agreed to join Guinean club, Hafia FC ahead of next season’s football campaign.
The 27-year-old signed a two-year deal, joining the Conakry based club from Sierra Leone top flight side, East End Lions. Bekoe, who is partly Ghanaian, will join the sixteen time Guinea champions after concluding the Sierra Leone premier league season which has six games to wrap up.
Speaking on signing the deal, Bekoe said: “Hafia is a great club looking at the history in the past and even till now, they have a very good team and I think they are doing very well in terms of improvement.
“They have a great vision and as a player who wants to go far like me, I think that vision is going to help me to enhance my football career and also go forward.
“I think with my presence in the team, I will give my best and make sure I help the team together with my teammates and achieve and help the team get more trophies this coming season and also do well in the continental tournament ahead which is the CAF Confederation Cup and also try to qualify for the CAF Champions League next season.”
Bekoe has previously played in Ghana for the then premier league side, Inter Allies who are now languishing in the lower tier league.
His move to Guinea will be the first time in six seasons since leaving Ghana. He has played for FC Johansen and Bo Rangers before settling at East End Lions where he spent two seasons.
Bekoe has three caps for Sierra Leone senior team the Leone Stars and he will look to impress current coach and national legend, Mohamed Kallon.
