Newly promoted Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, Barau FC has officially announced that they have reached an agreement to appoint highly respected and experienced coach Ladan Bosso as their new Technical Adviser.
The Kano-based club, who recently secured its historic promotion to Nigeria’s top flight, made the announcement via their X (formally Twitter) handle, confirming the highly anticipated development within Nigerian football circles.
“Barau FC, has announced that it has reached an agreement to appoint Coach Ladan Bosso as the club’s new Technical Adviser ahead of the 2025/2026 football season. Details of his contract and official unveiling will be communicated in due course.”

Bosso is a familiar name in Nigerian football. A former Head Coach of Nigeria’s national U-20 team, the Flying Eagles.
Most recently, he was at the helm of NPFL side Bayelsa United, where he successfully steered the club to safety in the recently concluded 2024/2025 NPFL season, ensuring their survival even before the final two rounds of fixtures.
His resume includes, coaching Kano Pillars, Abia Warriors, Sunshine Stars, Gombe United, Wikki Tourists, and El-Kanemi Warriors.
Barau FC’s swift ascent and the strategic acquisition of Bosso’s underscore their ambition to write a new, successful chapter in Kano football history and establish a solid foundation in the Nigeria Premier Football League for the 2025/2026 season.
