Pyramids FC fixtures for the 2025-2026 Nile Egyptian League season

The draw for the 2025/2026 Nile Egyptian League took place today in 6th of October City, setting the stage for a new chapter in Egyptian football. The upcoming season consists of 21 clubs participating after the Egyptian Football Association canceled relegation in the previous campaign.

Nile Egyptian League Format and Key Dates

The new season kicks off on August 8, 2025, and will run through May 2026. For the second consecutive season, the league will adopt a two-phase system:

• First Round: A traditional round-robin format consisting of 21 matchdays.
• Second Round: The league will split into two groups:
  • Championship Group: Top 7 teams.
  • Relegation Group: Bottom 14 teams.

As part of a long-term plan to reduce the number of teams to 18 by the 2028 season, four clubs will be relegated at the end of this campaign and three will replace them.

Not Easy Start for Pyramids FC

Pyramids FC were handed a relatively tough start. The club will face defending champions Al Ahly in Matchweek 5, and Al Masry in Matchweek 3, while their clash with Zamalek is scheduled for Matchweek 20.
