Mohamed Youssef, Al Ahly Sporting Director, stated that the first football team greatly benefited from the overseas training camp held in Tunisia, which included a comprehensive physical and technical program, along with two friendly matches before the team’s return to Cairo.
In remarks to the club’s official website, Youssef confirmed that the camp fully achieved its objectives, giving the technical staff a valuable opportunity to prepare the players properly in an atmosphere marked by high focus and enthusiasm—especially with the many challenges awaiting the team in the upcoming season.
He pointed out that the players showed exceptional commitment and concentration throughout the camp, with a clear determination to make the most of the training period and reach optimal levels of readiness across all aspects.
Youssef emphasized that the team will continue preparations without pause and with full intensity ahead of the new Egyptian Premier League season. He also stressed that work is ongoing to fulfill the ambitions of Al Ahly’s fans and to compete for all available titles.
The training camp, held in the Tunisian city of Tabarka, featured two friendly matches. Al Ahly defeated Stade Tunisien 4-1 and followed that with a resounding 5-0 victory over CA Bizertin.
