Nicholas Kabonge and Bruno Bunyaga commit future at URA FC

URA Football Club is delighted to announce the contract renewal of two of its players, attacking midfielder Nicholas Kabonge and forward Bruno Bunyaga. The duo has extended their stay with the Tax Collectors until 2027, reaffirming their commitment to the club’s ambitions ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 season.

Kabonge and Bunyaga, who both joined the club in 2023 from SC Villa and Bushenyi Veterans respectively, have steadily grown into integral figures in the squad, earning the trust of the technical team and admiration of the fans through their work ethic.

Speaking after putting pen to paper, Nicholas Kabonge expressed his delight at continuing his journey with URA FC:

“I am truly honoured to extend my stay at this great club. URA FC has given me the platform to grow as a player and a person. I believe we are building something special here, and I want to play my part in achieving success in the coming years.”

Bruno Bunyaga, who has impressed with his attacking runs and goal sense, was equally thrilled:

“This renewal means a lot to me. URA FC is a family, and I feel at home here. The trust the club has shown me pushes me to work even harder. I’m ready to give my all and help us fight for trophies.”

URA FC CEO Allan Munaaba lauded the duo’s renewal as a timely boost ahead of the new campaign:

“We are excited to have Nicholas and Bruno commit their futures to the club. These are players who embody our values on and off the pitch. Their experience, professionalism and hunger for success will be crucial in helping us achieve our targets for the 2025/26 season and beyond.”

Munaaba further emphasized the club’s continuous efforts to retain and develop top talent:

“This renewal also speaks to our long-term vision — to build a competitive and cohesive squad capable of consistently challenging at the highest level. We believe in continuity and trust in the quality of our players.”

With both Kabonge and Bunyaga set to stay until 2027, URA FC has reinforced its attacking options while laying a strong foundation for a competitive season. Their experience and familiarity with the club’s setup will be vital in steering the team forward under the stewardship of head coach Alex Isabirye.

As preseason preparations get closer, the Tax Collectors are optimistic that the commitment shown by their players, starting with this key duo, will translate into results on the pitch.
