Kusi, 30, currently plays for Saudi Women’s Premier League side Al-Ahli Jeddah, a side she joined from Serbia outfit Spartak Subotica in 2023. She was a key part of the Black Queens squad that represented Ghana at the 2025 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco where the team picked bronze.
Speaking in an interview after helping Ghana to claim the bronze medal at the tournament, Kusi shared her experiences playing in Saudi Arabia:
“I know I am playing in the Saudi League. There is so much difference from the leagues I played before but they are trying to progress in women’s football. The field is perfect. You could see that we have a lot of Saudi league players in this tournament. This means the competition over there is stronger. For the years ahead, the league in Saudi will be amazing.”
She helped Ghana win bronze at the 2024 WAFCON after beating South Africa by 4-2 in the penalty shootouts following 1-1 draw in full time.
