Ugandan star Khalid Aucho bids Young Africans emotional farewell

Former Young Africans (Yanga SC) player Khalid Aucho has confirmed his exit from the Tanzania Premier League club in an emotional message posted on his Instagram page.

The departure of the Uganda Cranes midfielder ends a highly successful four-season chapter (2021–25) with Yanga.

The Citizens have already reinforced midfield with Balla Conté and Mohamed Doumbia, aiming to fill the gap and continue its upward trajectory.

Aucho wrote;
Young Africans SC! My beloved family! I would like to say that the time has come to close this unforgettable chapter in my life. Over the past four seasons, I’ve experienced intense emotions, achieved incredible goals, and made indelible memories with all of you.

We won league titles, celebrated every victory as a family, and overcame obstacles with determination and courage Every time I wore this jersey I did it with pride and pride

During my time here, I not only grew as a player but the unity and support from all of you every step of the four seasons has motivated me to push myself harder on and off the field.

Reaching the CAF Confederation Cup final was my dream come true. The journey was tough, but every sacrifice was worth it. Praise be to God.

To my fellow gamers over the years, some of you have become my family and friends for life. Surely I wish you all the best in the future Insha Allah.

To the leadership, staff, coaching staff, club president Eng Hersi Said, Mr GSM, my big brother Anthony Mavunde, vice president Mr Arafat Ally, Omar Kimossa and lastly to the fans who believed in me and loved me unconditionally I cannot thank you enough you mean the world to me.

Today I say goodbye with gratitude and love in my heart and I am certain that I will carry these colors wherever I go. This is not the last goodbye but see you later hopefully. See you in the future. Yanga SC.”
