Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank has sung the praise of Ghana forward, Mohammed Kudus following their slim win over Arsenal in a pre-season friendly on Thursday.
Pape Matar Sarr’s blistering strike half way from the middle of the park helped Spurs beat Arsenal 1-0 in an international friendly at the Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong.
Despite playing 63 minutes of the game, Kudus put up an excellent performance before he was replaced by Brennan Johnson.
After the game, Frank was full of admiration for the 24-year-old’s performance after the game.
“I thought he was excellent today – his hold-up play, composure on the ball, and ability to navigate tight spaces stood out. His one-on-one skills and chance creation were top class.
“Beyond that, he put in a tremendous shift for the team. He’s going to excite fans with his attacking flair while also contributing defensively,” he said.
The former FC Nordsjaelland attacker will hope to keep his impressive performance intact when Spurs face Newcastle United on Sunday before wrapping up their pre-season against Bayern Munich.
Kudus joined the Europa League champions from West Ham for £55m earlier this month, making him the most expensive Ghanaian ever.
