Victor Osimhen begins training with Galatasaray

Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen has wasted no time in settling down at Galatasaray, training with the squad for the first time on Friday after his record-breaking transfer from Napoli.

Galatasaray officially announced the permanent signing of the 26-year-old in a landmark deal worth€75 million, a fee that shatters the previous Turkish transfer record.

The striker, who arrived to a hero’s welcome in Istanbul on Wednesday, could be available for selection for Saturday’s to feature in a pre-season friendly against Italian club Lazio.

Osimhen was seen reconnecting with teammates, including Mauro Icardi, and training alongside another major new signing, German winger Leroy Sané, who joined from Bayern Munich.

The move comes after he spent a successful season on loan with the Turkish champions, where he scored 37 goals in 41 matches, cementing his status as a fan favorite.

Both Osimhen and Sané will be officially presented to the fervent Galatasaray faithful at the RAMS Park Stadium on Saturday, in a special event before the friendly match against Lazio.
