South Africa’s Siwelele FC coach Lehlohonolo Seema has shared tactical insights of why Orbit College FC are difficult opponents to play with.
The former Bloemfontein Celtic defender spoke to SuperSport Television after his team’s 1-0 loss to the Betway Premiership newcomers.
The rookies won the match through Letsie Koapeng’s 73rd minute strike. The man from Lesotho added that he had predicted the outcome of the game, which he said could have gone either way.
“We knew it was always going to be a 1-0 win,” the coach said. “It could have gone either way. For us, we managed to keep them at bay in the first half. It is a team that is playing with energy… They wanted to get that space behind us..”
The former Sekhukhune United mentor went on to highlight how Siwelele failed to deal with Orbit’s dynamic play.
“It is a team that if you try to go high [up the pitch], they have a very good technical keeper and we had to mind that in terms of that space. That was the only thing that we were struggling with,” Seema added.
Siwelele’s loss dampened the bright mood arising from the opening 3-1 win over Lamontville Golden Arrows last weekend.
The Bloemfontein-based team should seek to bounce back when they welcome Polokwane City next Tuesday.
