Shalulile: Mamelodi Sundowns Facebook
Mamelodi Sundowns striker Peter Shalulile will lead Namibia’s senior national football team squad in the forthcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers for Group H.
Namibia coach Colin Benjamin named Shalulile in a 31-member provisional squad to face Malawi on September 5, 2025. The first leg match ended 1-0 in favour of the Namibians.
Apart from Shalulile, Orlando Pirates’ flying winger Deon Hotto is another big-name player in the Brave Warriors’ squad. The squad also comprises South Africa-based players such as Lamontville Golden Arrows goalkeeper Edward Maova and his Highbury FC counterpart Kamajanda Ndisiro.
There is more South Africa-based talent in the squad, including Durban City FC’s Joslin Kamatuka, Ngero Katua and Black Leopards’ Bethuel Muezu.
Brave Warriors will also take on São Tomé and Príncipe on 9 September. Benjamin’s men lie in second place in the group with 12 points, four points behind leaders Tunisia.
Malawi are second from the bottom with six points while Sao Tome have zero points after playing six games.
