Al Ahly assistant coach: “No dressing-room issues, Riveiro decides the training sessions’ times”

Al Ahly assistant coach Emad El Nahas has dismissed claims of unrest within the Egyptian giant’s dressing room, stressing that the relationships between the players are excellent.

Speaking to Al Ahly TV after the 4–0 win over Pharco, El-Nahas praised the team’s attacking display:

“What our strikers are producing is excellent. After goals from midfield and defense in the Modern Sport match, the attack responded with four goals against Pharco. I’m happy to see Mohamed Sherif and Gradisar scoring, as well as strong performances from Achraf Bencharki and Mahmoud Trezeguet.”

Asked about the situation of Ahmed Abdelkader, he replied:

“It’s a matter for coach Riveiro and Mohamed Youssef. There is no update at the moment.”

On the scheduling of morning training sessions, El Nahas clarified:

“That’s up to Riveiro. Every coach has his own methods, and match results are not linked to training times.”

He also rejected the notion of internal problems:

“There are no crises in the dressing room. The response is shown on the pitch. Having many stars benefits the team, and all players are focused on winning. The relationships between them are excellent.”

El-Nahas concluded by hailing Al Ahly’s goalkeepers:

“The club is lucky to have the best two goalkeepers in Egypt — Mohamed El Shenawy and Mostafa Shobeir. Ribeiro is in constant dialogue with them, and starting the league with Shobeir was his decision along with the goalkeeping coach.”
