Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) club Ikorodu City have officially announced the signing of Liberian international goalkeeper, Derrick Julu.
Julu joins the “Oga Boys” on a two-year contract, arriving from Liberian champions Watanga FC.
The deal was confirmed by the club’s official channels, with Ikorodu City expressing their excitement over the acquisition.
“We’re excited to sign Liberian national team goalie, Derrick Julu from 2x Liberian First Division Champions Watanga FC on a two-year deal.”
The shot-stopper is part of a growing trend of foreign talent joining the NPFL, a testament to the league’s increasing profile and competitiveness.
With his experience playing for the Liberian national team and in the CAF Champions League with Watanga FC, Julu is poised to bring a new level of professionalism and stability to the Oga Boys’ defense.
