Nigerian forward Rinsola Babajide made her debut for AS Roma as the Italian champions secured a 4-2 victory over Ternana Calcio in a Serie A Women’s Cup fixture.
The Nigerian international made her first appearance for the Giallorosse as a second-half substitute.
Babajide, who joined Roma from Spanish side Costa Adeje Tenerife in July, was introduced into the match in the 75th minute. The cameo appearance provided a first glimpse of her pace and attacking prowess for the new fans.
The 27-year-old’s move to AS Roma marks a significant new chapter in her club career following successful stints in both England and Spain.
Babajide will now look to build on this initial appearance and secure a starting spot in a formidable AS Roma squad as they aim to defend their league title and compete in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
