Seventeen-time Uganda Premier League champions SC Villa have completed the signing of explosive winger Ibrahim Kasinde on a three-year contract ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Kasinde, who has already been training with the Jogoos under Serbian coach Zeljko Kovacevic, impressed the technical team enough to earn a permanent move. He is expected to bring urgency and speed to Villa’s frontline, particularly down the right flank, as the club looks to sharpen its attacking options.
The 23-year-old spent last season at NEC FC, where he played a key role in their spirited but ultimately unsuccessful title challenge.
Before NEC, Kasinde made his name at Bright Stars, where he established himself as one of the most exciting wingers in the league. In his three-year spell with the club, he registered seven goals alongside numerous assists, thrilling fans with his direct, energetic style of play.
On the international stage, Kasinde was part of the Uganda Hippos squad that featured in the 2022 U20 AFCON Qualifiers held in Sudan, further underlining his credentials as one of Uganda’s brightest wide prospects.
His move to Villa marks his third UPL stint, adding to his experiences at NEC and Bright Stars. Beyond the topflight, the winger has also featured for Masaka City, Kaliisizo KEM, Kampala University Masaka, and in the prestigious Masaza Cup with Ssingo, Gomba, and Busujju.
