Loan agreement rules three Pirates players out of Orbit clash

Orbit College FC will be without three key players—Monnapule Saleng, Thuso Moleleki, and Yanga Madiba—for their upcoming match against Orlando Pirates in the Betway Premiership due to a loan agreement clause.

The three players, who were on the Buccaneers’ books last season, joined the Premiership newbies Orbit on a loan deal after the club gained promotion to the top flight. A condition of the agreement was that they would not be permitted to play against their parent club.

The absence of Saleng, in particular, will be a blow for Orbit, as he has featured in all of their league games so far this season. Moleleki has only played a handful of minutes, while Madiba is yet to make an appearance.

Meanwhile, both teams are looking to improve their league form. Orbit is currently in 12th place with one win from three games.

Pirates, who also have just one league win so far, will be hoping to carry their momentum from their recent MTN8 semi-final win over Mamelodi Sundowns into the league.

But they will be without Deano van Rooyen, who is a doubt due to injury, but have been boosted by the return of defender Olisa Ndah to training. Captain Nkosinathi Sibisi remains sidelined as he recovers from an earlier knock.
