Ghana Premier League giants, Asante Kotoko have announced the signing of defender Musa Hamzata ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Hamzata, 22, joins the Porcupine Warriors in a three-year deal from relegated Accra Lions.
“This is a huge step for me, and I’m grateful for the chance to wear the Kotoko shirt,” said the former PAC Academy player.
“I know the expectations here are very high, but I’m ready for that challenge. I want to grow as a player, help the team win trophies, and show that I can be one of the best defenders in the league,” he added.
Hamzata, who watched his new teammates during the GHALCA Top 4, has begun training with the record Ghana Premier League champions and could make his debut in the Champion of Champions game against Bibiani GoldStars.
Asante Kotoko will represent Ghana in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup after clinching their tenth FA Cup last season. They are paired against Nigeria’s Kwara United in the preliminary round of the continental competition.
