Former Bissau-Guinean international Té will handle the national side for the first time after Portuguese coach Luis Boa Morte left his post by mutual consent in June 2025.
Té has called up a predominantly European-based squad, with the exception of goalkeeper Ricardino Costa Té, who plays in the local domestic league with Sport Bissau e Benfica. Eight players ply their trade in Portugal. Everton striker Beto spearheads the squad alongside Brest forward Mama Baldé. Italy-based defender Fali Candé has also received a call-up from Té for the encounters.
Té omitted goalkeeper Celton Biai and center-back Víctor Rofino, stating that both players did not show the desire to play for the national side. He added that the team includes only those who want to represent Guinea-Bissau.
Guinea-Bissau are fifth in Group A with six points and will play both upcoming games at home.
