Former Kaizer Chiefs star Edmilson Dove secures big transfer to Iraq
Former Kaizer Chiefs and Mozambique international defender Edmilson Dove has signed for a top-flight league team in Iraq.
Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya FC have acquired the services of the Mambas’ star ahead of the 2025-2026 season. The club has since touted the signing of the versatile defender.
The seven-time Iraq Stars League champions say Dove will “strengthen the team’s defence with international experience and great strength before the start of the new season.”
The Glamour Boys announced the exit of the Mozambican international last month, closing the curtain on his two-year stay with the team. He joined Chiefs from UD Songo back home in Mozambique following an earlier stint with another Betway Premiership club, Cape Town City FC.
