Swedish club Assyriska FF has officially announced a contract extension for Nigerian goalkeeper Kingdom Osayi.
The 21-year-old shot-stopper, whose arrival from Nigeria earlier this year made an immediate impact, has committed his future to the club much to the delight of the team’s passionate fanbase.
He quickly established himself as the club’s number one goalkeeper, putting in a series of standout performances that reportedly drew interest from other clubs.
Speaking to the club’s official media, the shot stopper said he is thrilled to continue with the Swedish cub.
“Extending the contract with Assyriska FF was obvious.”
“The club is more than football—it is our identity, our heritage, and a symbol of freedom and pride. The passion of the Zelge Fans, from Södertälje to the whole world, makes me want to continue fighting for the brand.”
Osayi’s journey from the Nigerian domestic league to the European stage has been a rapid one. Osayi was a breakout star in the NPFL, particularly during the 2023/24 season where he gained notoriety for his clean-sheet record with Doma United.
