Tanzania national team head coach Hemed Suleiman has unveiled a 23-man squad ahead of Taifa Stars two vital 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixtures against Congo Brazzaville and Niger in September.

Among the players missing from the squad is Simba SC forward Kibu Dennis, goalkeeper Aishi Manula, central defender Abdulrazack Hamza, midfielder Ahmed Pipino, and strikers Jammy Simba and Ibrahim Ahmada.
However, the new faces in the squad include goalkeepers Yakoub Suleiman (JKT Tanzania), Hussein Masaraga (Singida Big Stars) and Antony Remi (Azam).
Defensively, the squad includes Shomary Kapombe (Simba), Lusajo Mwaikenda (Azam) and Wilson Nangu (JKT Tanzania), alongside experienced campaigners Mohamed Hussein (Young Africans), Pascal Msindo (Azam), Ibrahim Abdullah (Yanga) and Dickson Job (Yanga).
Taifa Stars will first take on Congo Brazzaville on September 5 and conclude the international window with a home game against Niger on September 9. They are currently sitting six points behind group leaders Morocco and hold a three-point advantage over third-placed Zambia at the halfway point.
