Madagascar CHAN National Team midfielder Lalaina Rafanomezantsoa is expected to sign for Algerian side Paradou AC.
The Algerian Ligue 1 outfit scouted the player during the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN), where the Barea finished runner-up.
Lalaina, 27, was playing for local side Andoharanofotsy Football Training Centre (CFFA). The Malagasy club agreed to a one-year loan deal for Lalaina to join Paradou.
According to 2424 Madagascar, CFFA president Henintsoa Rakotoarimanana said Lalaina signed the deal to join Paradou on Sunday, August 31, before the end of the transfer window.
Lalaina impressed during the 2024 CHAN as he was very instrumental when Madagascar reached the final, only to be beaten 3-2 by eventual champions Morocco. He bagged two goals and assisted three during the surprising run of the Barea.
Madagascar’s Senior National side coach, Corentin Martins, named Lalaina in his squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup African Zone qualifier against the Central African Republic and Chad.
