Bafana Bafana CHAN forward Thabiso Kutumela has opened up on his move to AmaZulu FC after the club’s second attempt to lure him.
Betway Premiership side announced the signing of the former Mamelodi Sundowns player on Tuesday.
Kutumela has been a free agent since parting ways with fellow Betway Premiership side Richards Bay FC at the end of last season.
Despite being a free agent, the 32-year-old impressed for Bafana during the 2025 CHAN tournament, which took place in East Africa most recently.
“I am so happy that this move has finally come about,” he was quoted by the AmaZulu FC website.
“This was not the first time AmaZulu showed interest in me. I remember back when I was at Maritzburg United before joining Mamelodi Sundowns, they inquired about my services.
“It didn’t happen then, but I am glad it has materialised now,” said Kutumela.
“My aim is to help the team win trophies and finish higher on the log than last season. In football, anything is possible, and every team has its objectives. Mine is to play my part in achieving them.”
