Katenga first joined the Kasasiro Boys in 2023 on a two-year contract and despite interest from Libyan outfit Abu Salem SC during the current transfer window, the attacker has chosen to continue his journey with the 13-time Uganda Premier League champions.

Before moving to Uganda, Katenga turned out for Angolan sides Asa FC, Saurimo, and CD Lunda Sul, building a reputation as a versatile and energetic wide player.

KCCA FC’s management has been keen on keeping their key assets intact, with Katenga’s renewal following the recent contract extensions of Brazilian winger Joao Gabriel and defender Filbert Obenchan, who both committed their futures to the club for another two years.

The Kasasiro Boys, guided by the coaching duo of Brian Ssenyondo and Jackson Magera, are determined to end their league title drought this coming season. To bolster their chances, the club has made significant reinforcements, adding Ivan Ahimbisibwe, Lazaro Bwambale Muhindo, Herbert Achayi, Rogers Mugisha, Enock Walusimbi and Charles Lukwago to their squad.
