Czech First League side Slavia Prague has officially announced the signing of highly-rated Nigerian defender Samuel Isife.

The 21-year-old joins the club from fellow Czech side Dukla Prague.
Isife penned a long-term contract with Slavia, committing his future to the “Red and Whites” until December 31, 2029. However, the right-back will stay with Dukla on loan until January 2026 when he will finally link up with the Red and Whites.
The Lagos-born defender began his professional journey in Czech Republic with with Vlašim before moving to Dukla Prague, where he quickly established himself as a standout performer in the Chance Liga (Czech second tier). Isife developed at notable Nigerian development club 36 Lion before moving to Europe in February earlier this year.
Peter Olayinka and Yira Sor are among the list of Nigerian players who have played for Slavia Prague in the past, marking the club as a reliable developer of young African talent.
The reigning Czech top flight champions are currently two points back of rivals Sparta Prague through seven rounds with five victories and two draws. They next host MFK Karvina on Saturday.
