Omar Marmoush and Rayan Ait Nouri will be out for a few weeks for Manchester City. Head coach Pep Guardiola confirmed that the two North African players will be out due to injury.
PEP 💬 (On injuries) Omar [Marmoush] is injured from Egypt. A few weeks I think [he will be out]. Before the [next] international break he will be ready.

The Spanish coach noted Marmoush’s injury during the international break. “Omar is injured from Egypt’s game.”
City is gearing up to face cross-city rivals Manchester United on Sunday, September 14, at the Etihad and both players will be out of the derby. Guardiola stated Marmoush will need to undergo further tests. “We have to do the last tests. (He will be out) a few weeks, I think. Before or after the international break, he will be ready.”
Marmoush was injured during the 2026 FIFA World Cup African qualifier game between his country, Egypt, and Burkina Faso. He helped Egypt beat Ethiopia 2-0, but due to his injury, he is now looking at a few weeks out, missing several Premier League and UEFA Champions League matches.
Ait Nouri was resting during the World Cup qualifier after being called up by Algeria coach Vladimir Petković. The left-back will not be in the squad to face Manchester United due to injury. Guardiola failed to disclose when will the Algerian start training.
