En-Nesyri scores again as Fenerbahce edge Trabzonspor

Youssef En-Nesyri followed up a successful international break with Morocco by returning to score the match winner in a 1-0 Super Lig victory for Turkish giants Fenerbahce on Sunday.

With visitors Trabzonspor reduced to ten players early on due to a red card, En-Nesyri stuck the dagger in just before halftime with a tap-in from close range. After a chaotic sequence in the Trabzonspor penalty area, the Moroccan poacher arrived to apply the finishing touch.

Trabzonspor were unable to mount any serious challenge despite keeping the score close. Sunday wasn’t En-Nesyri’s best match for Fener but his contribution was more than enough to win the match before his substitution in the 83rd minute.

En-Nesyri now has three goals in Fener’s opening four league matches after scoring twice in a victory over Genclerbirligi before leaving for international duty. He also scored in Morocco’s 2-0 victory over Zambia as the Atlas Lions officially qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Fenerbahce next host Alanyaspor on Wednesday in league play before traveling to face Kasimpasa next weekend.
