Magadascar’s Elgeco Plus FC have strengthened their squad ahead of their participation in the 2025-2026 edition of the CAF Champions League.
A statement from Plus confirms that they have signed Cameroonian striker Raoul Pafong on a two-year contract from BWD Bamenda FC.
Pafong is set to make the 18-member squad that will face Silver Strikers from Malawi in the Champions League this weekend.
“With this reinforcement and unwavering determination, the club is ready to make history,” reads the club’s statement.
He is the second Cameroonian in the team, joining compatriot Ismail.
Much will be expected from Pafong considering that impact of his compatriot Ismael. The Cameroonian scored the only goal to earn Plus their seventh 2025 Madagascar Cup after beating FC AS Fanalamanga 1-0 on July 20, 2025.
The cup triumph made it a double for Plus as it came a week after they had won the domestic league title.
Coach Rafa nomezantsoa Oelison Carreca’s team from Madagascar face Silver, the current TNM Super League holders, in a preliminary round first leg match on Sunday at the National Sports Stadium in Côte d’Or in Mauritius.
Strikers will host the reverse fixture at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe on September 26, 2025.
